About Us
We Are Jewish LAUSD
Our initiative is rooted in the collaborative efforts of students, families, educators, and administrators, all united by a common goal: to enhance the educational experience within the Los Angeles Unified School District (LAUSD) to ensure Jewish cultural understanding and safety.
Students: We empower Jewish students by advocating for a curriculum that includes Jewish history and culture, and by creating a learning environment that is both respectful and inclusive.
Families: Recognizing the crucial role families play, we provide them with resources and support, ensuring they are active participants in the educational journey of their children, especially in promoting awareness and understanding of Jewish heritage.
Educators: We are dedicated to equipping educators with the necessary tools and knowledge to foster an educational atmosphere of engaged mutual respect and inclusivity.
Administrators: Our administrators are key to implementing policies that safeguard Jewish students and staff, ensuring that Jewish cultural identity is both recognized and celebrated within the LAUSD.
Together, these groups form a important alliance in our mission to create an educational environment where Jewish culture is understood, antisemitism is actively combated, and all students thrive in a setting of mutual respect and cultural diversity.
